  1. Rules
    1.1. The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing
    (RRS) and with appendix S.

    1.2 The 606 and 505 class rules will apply.
    Swedish National prescriptions do apply and will be published on the official notice
    board located at SSÅV Race Office Area.

    1.3 Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing
    authority.

    1.4 Competitors shall when afloat wear personal flotation devices. This rule does not
    apply to short-term replacement or adjustment of clothing or personal equipment, or
    when competitors are in the harbor or under deck. Wet suits and dry suits are not
    personal flotation devices. This changes RRS 40. A boat that breaks this rule may
    be warned or penalized at the discretion of the protest committee.

    1.5 When the water temperature is below +14°C clothing given a good protection against
    cooling in water shall be worn – wet suit, dry suit or similar

    1.6 All Competitors to follow the instructions from the Race Committee regarding the
    behaviour on shore and offshore related to local and national Corona restrictions.
    This might also have impact on the planned social arrangement such as After Sail
    and Regatta dinner.

  2. Eligibility requirements
    2.1 Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third party liability insurance.

    2.3 The competitor that is in charge on board shall follow Swedish Sailing Federations
    racing license regulation for competitors. This rule is not applicable for non-
    Swedish competitor

    2.4 To be entitled to participate in the Swedish Sport Federation championships, each
    competitor must be at age 12 years or older at the year of the regatta.

    2.5 Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See RRS 3, Decision to Race. The organising authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.

  3. Entries
    3.1 Entry shall be made not later than August 1
    For Swedish competitors: Entry to be made in Sailarena.
    General information such as accommodation, map over harbour etc can also be found in Sailarena
    For International competitors, please send the entry by e-mail to info@ssav.se
    The e-mail entry shall include the following:
    Sailors name, Class, Sail number, Club, Nationality, Year of birth, Hull fabrication year, mobile phone number, e-mail and if Food restrictions apply or not.

    3.2 The entry fee is 1 400 SEK (includes After Sail) and shall be paid to,
    For Swedish competitors: Please pay in Sailarena at entry.
    Non Swedish competitors are welcome to pay the entry fee by credit card or in cash at registration.
    If the entry is cancelled not later than August 5, the entry fee will be paid back.

  4. Registration and measurement checks
    4.1 Registrations shall be made at the race office not later than Friday, August 13 at 11.00.

    4.2 Competitor in charge has to confirm sailing club membership, a valid license for competitor and a measurement certificate or similar.

    4.3 A boat or equipment may be inspected at any time for compliance with the class rules and sailing instructions. On the water, the race- or/and the technical committee can instruct a boat to proceed immediately to a prescribed location for inspection.

    4.4 Substitution of damaged or lost equipment will not be allowed unless approved by the race committee. Requests for substitution shall be made to the Race committee at the first reasonable opportunity.

    4.5 Measurement services will not be available during the specified time for registration.

  5. Sailing Instructions
    5.1 The sailing instructions will consist of the instructions in RRS Appendix S, Standard Sailing Instructions, and supplementary sailing instructions that will be on the official notice board located at SSÅV Race Office Area.

  7. Race format
    7.1 For 606 class:
    Fleet race Friday and Saturday 7 races planned and 4 sprint races per final in the A- and B- finals on Sunday
    For 505 class:
    Fleet race Friday, Saturday and Sunday. 10 races planned

  8. The course and Racing area
    8.1 For the fleet races: Windward-leeward with inner and outer loops will be sailed for both classes on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday will the 505 class sail a windward-leeward course
    For the sprint races for the 606 on Sunday, the course will be a short windward-leeward sprint course.

    8.2 For the fleet race: The racing areas will be in the Bay of Åmål or south to east of the area outside the Bay in the Lake Vänern, depending on the wind conditions.
    For the sprint races, the course will be in the Bay of Åmål

  9. Protests and penalty systems
    9.1 RRS Appendix P will apply.

  10. Scoring
    10.1 The low point scoring system of RRS Appendix A will apply, modified so that when three or fewer races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores.

    10.2 3 races are required to be completed to constitute a championship.

  11. Prizes
    11.1 The three first boats in each class will be awarded the plaquette of Swedish Sports Confederation. Prices will also go to every fifth boat.

    11.2 For the 505 class, the following Prizes will also be awarded:
    Challenge Prize “Hornet” for the best placed Swedish boat, and
    Challenge Prize “Classicboat” for the best placed Swedish boat with number 8554 or lower.
